Dialect is a "a game about language and how it dies". You'll tell the story of an isolated community that develops its own words and phrases. Ultimately, the community's isolation ends and the players are the only ones left who speak its dialect.

A backdrop is the starting point for your community. It tells you who your characters are and why they're set apart from the world, asks some questions that you'll answer to make it your own, and give you options about how the community's story will play out.
